"Awesome Pop-Up Glamping Hotel"
"Where do you start to explain how amazing a hotel is when it pops up on a Wednesday and closes on a Monday. Then to add to the enormity of the task it was the first time the hotel had opened, then you start to realise what an amazing challenge the family took on and achieved with flying colours.
Where do I start, champagne on arrival, real mattress double beds in the tents, the amazing local produce breakfast, the pamper tent with anything you could possibly need available. Its location is next to Tinwood Estate, English Champagne tasting at its best, a great way to spend an afternoon being educated about alcohol.
Next time it pops up, book it, try it, enjoy the experience." Simon R (GB)
"Thank you very much for such a wonderful evening and a very comfy night! The Grand Folly Hotel is a truly magical place!! Katie D-H (GB)
"Excellent family run accommodation that strives to be the best."
"Excellent staff; very attentive. Great food. Extremely clean ablutions. Excellent communal area. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have provisionally booked more accommodation for a longer period next year....need I say more?!" David (GB)
"I thought the location, standard of tents and facilities were great and unique and the transfer to and from the event was so convenient. There is a real passion there and a family story which is really appealing and unique...the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had." T Cash (UBS, GB)
"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. Showers were amazing. Great location." Mac (GB)
"Great location and friendly staff." Zoe (GB)
"Great Glamping for Goodwood"
"Great location for visiting Goodwood Festival of Speed. Was slightly apprehensive about glamping but bed was very comfy, good bathroom facilities available even somewhere to get made up and do hair! Lovely evening meal followed by live entertainment in the bar. Rounded off with a good cooked breakfast the following morning. Staff were very accommodating even delivering a cup of tea whilst I did my hair!" Elizabeth (GB)
"No Place Like It"
"There is no place like it. A must see and must stay. Cetta (GB)

"The Innovative 'Pop-up' Hotel"
"Just returned home from a two night stay at the innovative 'pop-up' hotel. We were attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed and The Grand Folly is only about a mile from Goodwood. Couldn't be closer! The hotel provides a shuttle service to and from Goodwood which is brilliant. The tents were spotless, and the bed comfortable. The food was fantastic and the bar and restaurant looked great. It was so much fun staying under canvas the whole weekend. We had 'posh' showers and they were kept spotless at all times. Available parking close to our tent. Couldn't recommend this highly enough." J Willis (GB)
"Top Class Friendly Service"
"What a great stay with people who cared in providing top class friendly service. We were attended to throughout our stay by Archie, his family and a great team of people. We will stay again and hopefully The Grand Folly will make it to the classic Le Mans. Looking forwards to meeting up again." P Archer (GB)
"Really Nice Vibe"
"Stayed in one of the tents during Goodwood Revival and really enjoyed my stay. Really nice vibe and excellent facilities." A Van Essen
"We stayed for the weekend of the Goodwood Revival. We asked for extra beds in our tent for our children, we needed the driver to get us to the site in good time, we needed to eat early for an early night - all requirements were met, the tent was stylish, the food good, there was live music and a buzzy atmosphere in the restaurant tent, but I was surprised that we all were able to get to bed and sleep well despite the evening being in full swing in the restaurant tent. There were challenges brought on by the weather but the staff were cheerful and helpful and really did their best to ensure we had a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend for the can-do attitude of the staff, the location being so close to the event, the restaurant and entertainment all made for a memorable stay." Kate G (GB)
"Glamping In The True Sense"
"Just returned from two nights at Goodwood Revival in Tent 28 and loved it! The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. However in spite of very mixed weather conditions the tents and beds were amazingly comfortable, the pillow, sheets and duvet cover beautiful. Even a mirror and hanging rail were supplied in the tent with plenty of coat hangers. The pamper tent was lovely and we enjoyed a massage which compared well with any hotel or spa. The beauticians were on hand to provide authentic makeup and hair for 40's, 50's and 60's styles. The showers were clean and the water hot. Clean bath mats were provided for each person. I couldn't imagine what the restaurants and bar would be like but they were in a very large marquee, very stylishly furnished providing a great ambiance for some wonderful meals and excellent local "Champagne". The wine list was also good and we eat out a fair amount. The live bands were great and the local singer/pianist extremely talented. In fact the music and dancing on Saturday evening was the best time we have had in ages and enjoyed by all the participants from this country and abroad. I was especially impressed that Lactose free milk was available, something that is not often the case even in top London Hotels. There was bottled water in reception or the restaurant to take back for drinking and cleaning our teeth. I would definitely recommend using The Grand Folly Hotel if visiting The Festival of Speed or Revival but just remember it is Glamping not an actual hotel although at times one forgot this despite the rain!" Laurie T (GB)
"The Live Lounge Bar Was Like Ronnie Scots"
"Stayed nearby as rooms sold out for Friday and Saturday of Revival. But went there for dinner and entertainment. An absolute must if you find yourself in Halnaker. Superb food from two different restaurants. Wonderful entertainment. The Live Lounge bar reminded me of Ronnie Scots. Just wish I stayed to get the full experience."
"Friendly and Well Appointed Luxury Pop-Up Hotel Shone Like A Diamond Above Any Glamping Experience"
"Archie and the family run team were brilliant hosts setting high standards throughout this pop-up, luxury hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the food was excellent as was the wine selection and the surroundings complemented the five star ambition. Our group were welcomed as valued friends and we left feeling even more like friends rather than just patrons." Phil (GB)
"Loved the experience"
